GLOW

GLOW was a sound and light installation produced for the Crescent, Buxton ahead of its redevelopment as a modern spa hotel. The work took reference from previous Crescent installations (see HERE) and like those a key aim was to bring a sense of occupancy back to the building, to reference it's history and future and importantly to provide a glimpse beyond the façade and into it's interior spaces.

The project was commissioned and funded by The Crescent Hotel and Thermal Spa Development (The Osborne Group & CP Holdings Limited, Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic England, D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, Derbyshire County Council and High Peak Borough Council)

Additional Funding from Bingham Trust

Vintage lighting by Havells Sylvania U.K.

Special thanks to Liz McKenzie for her support and to Adam Henry and John Wilson for their invaluable help with the installation. Thanks also to Bernie Dart for electrical advice.
